How You Can Support Harare Children's Home
The Gardening Project aims to cultivate fresh vegetables and fruits to provide nutritious meals for the children at the Home. Donations are needed to purchase gardening tools, seeds, fertilizers, and irrigation systems to ensure the garden thrives year-round, contributing to food security and sustainability.
The Poultry Project focuses on raising chickens for eggs and meat, providing a sustainable source of protein for the children. Support is needed to build proper chicken coops, purchase feed, and cover ongoing costs for veterinary care, ensuring a healthy and productive flock.
The Event Park project aims to create a safe and fun outdoor space for children to play and socialize, while also being available for rent to generate income for the Home. Donations will help complete the construction of ablution facilities and maintain the grounds, providing a recreational area that can be rented for community events to support the Home financially.
In addition to the specific projects, the Home has ongoing needs such as replacing outdated furniture, purchasing new kitchen equipment, and covering operational costs like utilities and staff salaries. Contributions will help improve the living conditions and overall well-being of the children.

Adopt A Child Without Taking Them Home
Harare Children’s Home offers care and refuge for children in need, acknowledging that while it cannot replace a traditional family, it strives to provide a nurturing and supportive environment. Many children come from difficult backgrounds, facing abandonment, abuse, or parents who are incarcerated, unwell, or deceased. Some arrive malnourished or battling illnesses like HIV or asthma. In partnership with the Department of Social Welfare, the Home cares for children from infancy to age 20, equipping them with skills in areas like sewing, computers, and business to help build a brighter future.
